Humanize helps you rewrite a sentence, paragraph or heading section that feels stiff or formulaic. You see the suggested changes before anything goes into your draft. You can apply them, adjust them yourself or keep the original.
Available with an active Pro, Growth or Agency licence. A changed Humanize result uses 1 credit when the preview is ready. An unchanged result or failed attempt uses no credit. Applying or undoing the result adds no charge.
Try it in the real editor layout
Click the highlighted buttons below, or choose Play walkthrough. This interactive example uses captures of the working WordPress editor, including our actual toolbar, colours and preview buttons. It uses sample text, spends no credits and changes no pages.

Where to find Humanize
- In your WordPress dashboard, open Pages or Posts, then choose Edit.
- Use the WordPress block editor. Click inside a paragraph or highlight the words you want to change.
- Look for Humanize in the toolbar above your text. On a narrow screen, the toolbar may scroll sideways.
- Click Humanize to start. Your original text stays in place while the suggestion is prepared.
You need AEO God Mode Free and Pro installed together, an active paid licence and at least 1 available credit. These controls are for the WordPress block editor.
Choose how much to change
| Your selection | What Humanize works on |
|---|---|
| Highlight words within a paragraph | Only the highlighted text. The words around it stay in place. |
| Select one or more text blocks | The selected text blocks. |
| Select a heading | The text in that heading section, stopping at the next heading at the same level or above. |
| Open the arrow beside Humanize | Choose Humanize this section to work on the surrounding heading section. |
The preview tells you which selection it is using. Headings, code and table data are protected. Text it cannot safely edit stays unchanged and is listed in the preview.
Read the preview before applying
- Changes: removed words appear in red with a line through them. Added words appear in green with an underline.
- Side by side: compare the original and suggestion with their links and formatting visible. On a phone, the two versions appear one below the other.
- Apply to draft: put the suggestion into the editor. This does not save or publish your page.
- Undo humanize: restore the captured text if you want to go back. WordPress Undo is also available.
- Make any final edits, then use WordPress Save or Update when you are ready.
Closing the preview leaves your draft alone unless you have already applied a change. Use Review result in the toolbar to reopen it. You can close the window while it is working and return to the result later.
Why humanize your writing?
Readers need a clear answer, written in a voice they can trust. Repeated introductions, padded transitions and over-polished sentences can get between the reader and that answer. Humanize gives you a suggested edit for you to review.
Use it when a passage sounds unlike you, repeats the same sentence pattern or takes too long to reach the point. There is no need to rewrite a passage that already reads well.
A natural voice does not prove a claim, guarantee AI citations or guarantee a result from an AI detector. The useful test is whether your reader gets a clearer, accurate passage.
What should you check or tweak?
- Meaning: does it still say what you intended? Check any added explanation or opinion.
- Facts: check names, dates, prices, limits and promises against your source. A smooth sentence can still be wrong.
- Links and formatting: check the link still goes to the intended page and that emphasis makes sense.
- Your voice: remove a phrase you would never say. Add a useful detail from your own experience when you can support it.
- The answer: if the heading asks a question, put a clear answer near the start. Do not make readers hunt for it.
The tool checks headings, links, numbers and formatting. You still need to check meaning and claims. In the demo, the extra wording about the pricing page should be checked against that page before you keep it.
Make these tweaks directly in WordPress after applying, or close the preview and edit the original. For a long page, work through one section at a time.
Use the section review for answers and claims
Open the arrow beside Humanize, then choose Review answer and claims. This costs 1 credit for a completed review.
The review checks whether the section answers its heading and whether a claim needs a source or clearer wording. Each suggestion includes a passage from your own text. Click Go to this text to return to the relevant block and edit it yourself.
A flagged claim is a prompt to check the source. It does not mean the claim is false. The review sees this section, so use your own knowledge of the rest of the page too.
If you are waiting for a result
Your original stays unchanged while the tool works. If the connection is interrupted and a recovery button appears, use it to retrieve the same request. Do not start a fresh attempt just to recover a result.
If you edit the selected text while a preview is open, prepare a new preview before applying. This keeps an older suggestion from replacing your newer writing.
