The AEO God Mode WordPress plugin runs on your server, inside your WordPress installation. The data it collects is stored in your database, not ours.
The plugin logs visits from known AI crawlers (OAI-SearchBot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, and 14 others). For each visit, it records:
This data is stored in a custom database table (asgm_crawler_log) and is automatically purged after 90 days. No personal visitor data is collected.
The Pro version tracks visits from AI answer engines (chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, gemini.google.com, claude.ai). For each referral visit, it records:
This data is stored in asgm_ai_referrals in your WordPress database.
Configuration settings are stored in your WordPress wp_options table under the key asgm_settings. This includes module toggles, business name, URL, and social profile links you provide during setup.
When configured, the Citation Tracker queries: Perplexity (api.perplexity.ai), OpenAI (api.openai.com), Google Gemini (generativelanguage.googleapis.com), and Anthropic Claude (api.anthropic.com). These connections use your own API keys, which are encrypted with AES-256-CBC using your WordPress security salts before storage. The queries contain topic-related prompts based on your site's content. No personal data is transmitted.
The GSC integration uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to Google's Search Console API. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-CBC. The connection retrieves indexing status, impressions, and click data for your site's pages.
Pro license keys are validated against aeogodmode.io using the EDD Software Licensing API. This transmits: your license key, site URL, and plugin version. No other data is sent.
