AEO God Mode uses AI credits whenever the plugin calls our hosted AI service on your behalf. One credit equals one AI request. Below is the full list of features that consume credits, broken out by Free and Pro.
How credits work
- Free plan: 10 AI credits per month. Resets on the 1st.
- Pro and Agency plans: higher monthly allowances tied to your license tier.
- Bonus credits: one-time purchases (1,000 / 2,500 / 10,000) that never expire and roll over. Monthly credits are used first.
- Failed AI requests do not consume a credit.
- Cached results (re-generating the same content for the same post) do not consume a new credit.

- AI meta description generation — drafts a meta description tuned for AI citation and search snippets. 1 credit per post.
- AI title generation — suggests title variants optimised for answer engines. 1 credit per post.
Pro and Agency only
- Smart Internal Link Builder — finds the best internal link opportunities for a post using GSC anchor data and topic clustering. 1 credit per scan.
- AI Assist: FAQ extraction — pulls FAQ-shaped Q/A pairs out of your existing content. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: schema type suggestions — recommends the right schema.org types for a post based on its content. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: llms.txt description — drafts the description block in your llms.txt file. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: How-To step extraction — turns how-to content into structured step data. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: citability analysis — scores how citation-friendly a post is for AI engines. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: content improvement suggestions — gives specific edits to improve citation odds. 1 credit per post.
- AI Assist: speakable summary — generates a voice-assistant-ready summary. 1 credit per post.
- Query Gap Detector — drafts FAQ answers and heading rewrites for queries your post is missing. 1 credit per drafted answer.
- Bulk Actions — running any AI action across multiple posts consumes 1 credit per post processed.
What does NOT use credits
- Local schema generation (the Schema Engine itself).
- llms.txt file generation (the file itself, not the AI-written description block).
- AI crawler logging.
- Content gap scanning (lives entirely on your site).
- Citation Tracker checks (Pro: tracking quotes by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, AI Overviews uses a separate rate-limit, not your AI credit pool).
- GSC dashboard data (Pro: Google sends this for free).
