The Knowledge Base teaches the AI your real business facts. Upload your pricing sheet, service descriptions or policies once, and every AI generation in AEO God Mode Pro uses your actual details instead of placeholders. A Pro feature, found under Settings → Knowledge Base.
Why it matters. Without it, the AI writes drafts with markers like [YOUR DETAIL: add your pricing] wherever only you would know the answer. With it, a pricing article comes out with your real prices, your real guarantee, your real support email, ready to edit rather than fill in.
The Knowledge Base tab
Open Settings → Knowledge Base in your AEO God Mode dashboard:
Knowledge Base
Upload documents about your business: pricing sheets, service descriptions, policies, FAQs. We extract the text, store it on your own site, and feed the relevant facts into AI generations (Topical Map drafts and outlines, answer rewrites, keyword optimization) so they use your real details instead of placeholders. The original files are not kept, only the text.
When should generations use it?
“Always ask” shows the switch on Topical Map generations. Answer rewrites and keyword optimization include your facts whenever the mode is not off.
Documents
Choosing when it is used
One setting controls everything, with three options:
- Off. The knowledge base is never used and the switch is hidden everywhere.
- Always use. Every generation includes your business facts automatically. Pick this once you trust your documents and want zero toggling.
- Always ask (the default). A “Use knowledge base” switch appears on each Topical Map generation, so you decide per run. Answer rewrites and keyword optimization include your facts whenever the mode is not off.
Uploading documents
Click the upload area and pick your files. Supported formats are TXT, Markdown, CSV and PDF, up to 8 MB each. Good first documents: your pricing sheet, a services overview, an about-the-business page, delivery or refund policies.
Your files stay yours. We extract the text and store it on your own site. The original file is discarded the moment the text is out, nothing is uploaded to us or anyone else. When content is generated, only the few passages relevant to that topic travel with the request.
Click any document (or its eye icon) to see exactly what text was kept:
The exact text we kept and feed into generations. The original file was discarded.
# AEO God Mode: business facts ## Pricing - Free (Core): £0 forever, unlimited sites, 5 AI credits per month, no account required. - Pro: £12 per month billed annually, up to 5 sites, 500 AI credits per month. - Agency: £25 per client site per month, up to 10 client sites …
Re-uploading a file with the same name replaces it, and the bin icon removes it entirely. A note on PDFs: digitally created PDFs (exports from Word, Google Docs, invoicing tools) work well. Scanned or image-based PDFs have no text to extract, so the upload tells you honestly and asks for a TXT or Markdown export instead.
Where your facts show up
The knowledge base feeds every content generation in Pro: Topical Map drafts and outlines, answer-first rewrites from the Answer Density panel, and Keyword Optimize. In “Always ask” mode, Topical Map cards show the switch right above the generate buttons:
With the switch on, generated drafts quote your figures exactly and never invent alternatives to them. Anything your documents do not cover still gets a clearly marked placeholder rather than a guess.
Frequently asked questions
Does using the knowledge base cost extra credits?
No. A draft costs the same 15 credits with or without it. The knowledge base changes what goes into the generation, not the price of it.
Where is my data stored?
On your own WordPress site, in your own database. The original files are discarded after the text is extracted. During a generation, only the passages relevant to that one topic are included in the request.
What should I upload first?
Whatever the AI would otherwise have to guess: your pricing, your services and who they are for, your guarantees and policies, your locations or coverage area, and your contact details. One or two well-written pages beat twenty vague ones.
Can I see what was kept from my file?
Yes. Click the document name or the eye icon in the Documents list and a viewer shows the exact stored text, which is exactly what generations can draw from.
Why did my scanned PDF fail to upload?
Scanned PDFs are pictures of text, not text, so there is nothing to extract. Export the document as TXT or Markdown (or copy the text into a .txt file) and upload that instead.
Does it work on the Free plan?
The Knowledge Base is a Pro feature. On Free, the tab explains what it does and links to the upgrade. Pro starts at £12 per month.
