How to install AEO God Mode Pro

Step-by-step install for AEO God Mode Pro. About 5 minutes from start to finish.

AEO God Mode Pro is a separate plugin that runs alongside the free AEO God Mode. This guide walks the install end-to-end. About 5 minutes.

Before you start. You will need the email and license key from your Pro purchase. Both are in the order confirmation we sent, and both are visible on your account page.

Step 1. Install AEO God Mode (free) first

Pro requires the free plugin to be installed and active. Skip this step if you already have the free plugin running.

  • In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
  • Search for AEO God Mode.
  • Click Install Now, then Activate.

Step 2. Download the Pro zip

  • Visit aeogodmode.io/my-account/.
  • In the Latest Version card, click Download Pro.
  • You will get a file called aeo-god-mode-pro-X.Y.Z.zip (the version number reflects the current release).

Step 3. Upload Pro to your site

  • In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  • Click Choose File and select the Pro zip you just downloaded.
  • Click Install Now.
  • When the install completes, click Activate Plugin.

Pro installs into its own folder (aeo-god-mode-pro) alongside the free plugin. Leave the free plugin installed and active; Pro depends on it.

Step 4. Activate your license

  • Right after Pro activates, you will land on the AEO God Mode settings page.
  • Find your license key in your account page or in the purchase email.
  • Paste the key into the License Key field.
  • Click Activate.

The license activates against our server. You should see a green Active status within a second or two.

Step 5. Confirm Pro is working

You should now see the Pro tabs in the AEO God Mode sidebar: Citation Tracker, AI Assist, GSC Dashboard, Internal Link Builder, Query Gap Detector, and a few more. If the tabs are visible and clickable, Pro is fully active.

If something went wrong

  • WordPress says Pro cannot activate because the free plugin is missing. Install the free plugin first (Step 1) and try again.
  • Pro is installed but the license screen says my key is not valid. Double-check the key against your account page. Paste it without leading or trailing spaces. If it still rejects, your free plugin may be out of date; update it from Dashboard → Updates first, then re-activate the license.
  • I see a warning that says "AEO God Mode Pro is installed" but features are not working. Update the free plugin to the latest version (Plugins → Updates), then refresh the AEO God Mode settings page.
  • Anything else. Email support@aeogodmode.io with your account email and a screenshot. We reply inside one business day.
