Does it scan every post type?
Posts and pages are scanned. Template-based post types like EDD downloads, WooCommerce products, checkout pages, and login screens are excluded automatically since they follow a different content structure where standard AEO checks don't apply.
How does the AEO Score work?
Each gap has a weight based on citation impact. Missing schema is weighted highest because AI engines rely on structured data to parse and cite content. The score starts at 100 and deducts points for each gap found. Pages with the lowest scores appear at the top so you prioritize the biggest wins first.
Can I use the scanner from inside the editor?
Yes. The Gutenberg Editor Panel shows your AEO Score and all 11 criteria in a sidebar while you're editing. Click a fix button and the schema is added right there. After a fix, the panel shows you exactly what was changed: how many FAQ pairs were added, the generated meta description text, or the number of HowTo steps created. You can re-run any fix to regenerate it.
