Generating Metadata - AEO God Mode

Generating Metadata

Step-by-step guide to generating, previewing, editing, and saving AI-optimized metadata for your WordPress content.

This guide walks through the full generation process, from selecting content to saving the final metadata.

Step 1: Select Your Content

Open the AI Metadata page from the AEO God Mode sidebar. You’ll see a search bar at the top.

Type the name of any post, page, or product. Results appear as you type. Click a result to add it to your batch.

You can select up to 50 items per batch. Each item shows its post type (post, page, product, download) so you know exactly what you’re generating for.

To remove an item, click the X next to its name.

Step 2: Choose a Style

Below the selected posts, pick your description style from the dropdown. Your options are:

  • Direct Answer
  • High-CTA Question
  • Bold Statement + Proof
  • Problem-Agitate
  • Smart Mix (default)

See the Choosing a Metadata Style doc for details on when to use each one.

Step 3: Generate

Click Generate Metadata. The credit cost shows next to the button (1 credit per item).

Generation takes a few seconds per item. The AI reads your content title, body text, categories, and tags, then writes metadata tuned for AI answer engines.

Step 4: Review Results

After generation, each result appears as an expandable card showing:

  • Meta Title with character count (target: under 60)
  • Meta Description with character count (target: under 155)
  • Product Description (for WooCommerce/EDD items only)
  • Your current metadata for comparison (if any exists)

Step 5: Accept, Edit, or Skip

For each result, you have three options:

  • Accept: saves the generated metadata to your post
  • Edit: opens inline editing so you can tweak the text before saving
  • Skip: leaves the post unchanged

You can also use Accept All to save every pending result at once.

Batch Limits

Each batch can hold up to 50 items. If you need to generate more, run additional batches. There’s no daily batch limit beyond your credit balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I run out of credits mid-batch?

The generator checks your credit balance before starting. If you don’t have enough credits for the entire batch, it won’t start. You’ll need to reduce the batch size or purchase more credits.

Can I regenerate metadata for the same post?

Yes. Each regeneration costs one credit. The new result replaces the previous preview, and you can accept or discard it.

Does accepting metadata affect my live site immediately?

Yes. Once you accept, the new meta title and description are saved to your post’s SEO fields right away. Search engines will pick up the changes on their next crawl.
